We offer dedicated classes for kids from 6 weeks right up to 13 years. This means your child is developing the skills they need at an appropriate time, alongside kids their age. We aim to get them interested in fitness from an early age, in a secure and fun environment. You and your child can bond and play together, or we can take care of them while you run errands or have some time to yourself!

For babies and toddlers:
As a parent you have one of the most important jobs out there because you are responsible for your child’s development.The majority of this happens most rapidly in the first five years. Up to 90% of your child’s co-ordination is developed before the age of 12 so it is important to get them active as early as possible. At My First Gym we want to empower you, as parents and guardians, to raise happy, healthy and confident children and to give them every advantage towards their future.

For little big kids aged 5-13:

All of our classes are designed to build your child’s confidence, imagination, problem solving and socialisation skills through fun activities such as song and dance, obstacle courses, and gentle exercises to develop their motor skills and coordination.
The classes we offer:
Tuis – This class introduces basic motor skills like balance and coordination for little ones aged 7 to 12 months.
Wetas – Builds movement skills for toddlers aged 13 to 23 months.
Pukekos – Introduces a variety of fitness activities for children aged 5 to 7 years.
Kakapos – Develops fitness components for children aged 8 to 10 years.
Kiwis – Challenges individual fitness levels for children aged 11 to 13 years.
Ballet Piwakawakas – Ballet classes for ages 4 – 9 Years.
Hip Hop Huhus – Hip Hop Classes for ages 4 – 9 years / 10 – 13 years.
Jazz Funk Tarapukus – Jazz Funk Classes for ages 4 – 9 years / 10 – 13 years.
Athletic Akeakes – Learn the rules and fundamentals of various sports for ages 5 – 9 years
Kapa Haka Kotukus – Kapa Haka classes for All Ages & Parents too – “he whānau kōtahi tātou – the family as one unit”
